Changing Diabetes® in Children highlights the need for holistic efforts that comprise of an up-to-date, comprehensive and structured care for children and adolescents living with Type 1 Diabetes. Various studies have highlighted the urgent need to reduce the variations in care, improve HbA1c and reduce diabetic ketoacidosis admissions.
All efforts in improving outcomes in type 1 diabetes falls back on a well-trained, knowledge equipped healthcare provider. Ongoing education for healthcare professionals is essential to keep abreast of advancements, individualizing care, incorporating technology, addressing psychosocial aspects, preventing complications, empowering patients, and fostering effective communication—all of which collectively contribute to improved type 1 diabetes management.
Thus, under the portfolio of HCP education within the Changing Diabetes® in Children project, we are providing the platform for innovative and continuous education covering various aspects, not only on clinical knowledge and skills but also on the establishment of in-depth educational competency of all rounded care of type 1 diabetes.
